Let them draw their own hopscotch patterns. If they are like I was as a kid, they’ll make hundreds of squares and hop around all day. The traditional version of hopscotch involves numbering the squares and tossing a rock onto the first square. Then you have to skip the square that the rock is on. On your way back, pick up the stone. Continue the game by tossing the stone to #2 and hopping over it, and on until you've gone through all the numbers. Enjoy! |
