How to Boil and Dye Easter Eggs

What You’ll Need

Eggs
A pot
Water
Gloves if you don’t want the dye on you.
Construction Paper
Pens
Glue
Dye
Vinegar
Stickers

Directions

1) Put the eggs in the pot
2) Cover with cold water. Be sure the pot handle is turned toward the back of the stove.
3) Bring the water to a bubbling boil.
4) Turn off the burner and take the pot off the heat.
5) Put the lid on the pot.
6) Let the pot stand for 25 minutes.
7) Pour off Water.
8) Run cold water over the eggs to cool them.

Once you've got the boiled eggs:

1) Half- fill each cup with boiling water
2) Add 1 teaspoon vinegar to each cup
3) Put 20 drops of a different food dye in each cup.
4) With the large spoon, put 1 egg in each cup. Let stand until it is the shade you want.
5) Remove egg from cup and place on paper towels to dry.
6) Use glue, paper, stickers, ribbons, markers, crayons to make a design on eggs.
