I Love You Bouquet

Make a bouquet of tissue paper hearts with your children as a Valentine’s Day centerpiece for your dining room table. Also, makes a great gift for Grandma!

What You’ll Need

Tissue paper (or crepe paper)
Green pipe cleaners

Instructions

1. Cut 4-6 pieces of tissue paper into 8x10 squares. The exact size isn’t important and they don’t all need to be the same size right down to the inch. You can use traditional Valentine’s Day colors (red or pink) or any colors your children like.

2. Stack the papers in a pile and fold them like an accordion.

3. Tie the center of the papers with a green pipe cleaner for your stem. Or use a twist tie and attach the papers to the pipe cleaner.

4. Form the petals of your flower by gently pulling each sheet of paper up towards the center and you have a lovely flower!

5. Make several flowers and arrange them in a sheet of tissue paper for a pretty bouquet or place several in a small pot. Your children can decorate the tissue paper or pot with stickers, marker or glitter for extra flare!

These bouquets make great gifts for your children to give to those they love. Explain to your children that giving flowers is one of the oldest ways to say “I love you.”
