Instead of Cards Send Kisses

There are more Valentine's Day cards purchased than any other type of holiday card. And Valentine's Day cards can be quite unimaginative and expensive, especially when buying cards for all their classmates at school. This year, why not help your children take something a little different, and chocolate, for their classmates? Send kisses instead of cards.

What You’ll Need

* Hershey's kisses (4-6 for each recipient)
* heavy duty Aluminum foil
* Red and pink ribbon
* Slips of white paper
* Pen or pencil

Instructions

Start by giving your child four to six Hershey kisses. This will be center of their kiss. Tear off pieces of aluminum foil big enough to cover the kisses and bring up at the top to tie a ribbon around.

Place the foil flat on the table, lay the kisses inside and then pull the foil up over the kisses. Tie the foil close to top of the kisses to close the larger kiss off. This way they don’t lose their surprise before they get them to their classmates. Use red ribbon for the boys and pink ribbon for the girls.

Now, on the slips of paper, have the children put cute little sayings like those found on conversation hearts. Don’t let them specify a certain child because by the time they get them to school they will have forgotten which kiss goes to which child. Conversation hearts have numerous sayings on them and kids find them hilarious when they read them.

Once they have the sayings written down slide the slip of paper into the top of the kiss just like the original Hershey kisses have. You know the one that is supposed to help you get the kiss opened and never works right?

Now your child has something a little different to give their classmates this year and it doesn’t cost half the money those cards do. What fun they will have giving everyone in the class a great big kiss!
