> Christmas Activities Jingle Bell WreathEveryone loves the sound of jingle bells. Those bells give us a heart full of memories and good cheer. It just wouldn’t be the Christmas season with hearing those bells. Making a jingle bell wreath is fun and easy for your children to do. Here’s how it’s done. What You’ll Need* Wire wreath frame* Greenery * Sleigh bells of all sizes * Heavy-duty string * Bows InstructionsLet the children wrap the wreath with the greenery. They can twist it around the wire frame to fill it in. Be sure the wrap it tight and that there are no holes in greenery.Use the heavy-duty string to hang the bells on the wreath. The kids can string the bells themselves by running the string through the top of bell. Once the string is through the bell they can then attach them to wreath. Show them how to poke the string through the greenery. Once both ends are through tie them off with a knot. Cut any ends off the string once it’s tied. Most of the bells will be small but be sure to have a few bigger bells to help the sound ring through the air. Next add some bows. Bows can be in any color or size. If a few of the bells are hidden that’s ok. Attach the bows with the heavy string at the top, bottom and sides of the wreath. This will give the wreath some color and make it more festive. When the wreath is finished hang it on your front door. If you have a wreath on your front door already you can hang it inside on a door. If you have a basement door or even a bedroom door, those will work just as well. Just be sure it is hung where it can be heard through the entire house. Everyone loves the sound of jingle bells and with your children’s help you can have that sound all season long. |
