Make a Kid's Scrapbook

Kids love to make things. One of the easiest things for your child to make is a scrapbook. They can make one for themselves or to give as a gift to a parent, grandparent, teacher or friend. Here is what your child will need to make a scrapbook.

What You’ll Need

* Strong box
* Glue
* Construction paper
* Markers
* Crayons
* Glitter
* Pictures
* Stickers
* Paper punch
* Three strands of yarn

Instructions

Start by using a strong box. Cut off two sides that are the same size. Glue construction paper on both sides of each piece of box. Your child can use markers, crayons, glitter, pictures or anything they can think of to decorate the construction paper. This will be the cover for their scrapbook.

Using more construction paper allow your child to make the pages of scrapbook. If the scrapbook is to be given as a gift the pages should contain things that having meaning to the person they are giving it too. If it is for themselves let them gear it to whatever interests them. They can draw or glue on pictures, write paragraphs about each page and what it includes. The sky is the limit so let have a good time by allowing them to design and create their own pages.

Once the pages are complete your child will need to use a paper punch and place three holes, one at the top, one in the middle and one at the bottom of the cover and pages of the scrapbook. Attach all together with three strands of yarn. Be sure to make the yarn long enough they can add pages to their scrapbook later on. Tie the yarn in bows. Your child’s scrapbook is complete and ready to give as a gift or for them to enjoy.
