This is a sword and shield that Sir Lancelot himself would be proud to own. What You’ll Needcardboard boxpencil scissors or craft knife glue metallic silver and gold paints other color paints paintbrushes markers Instructions1. From the sides of the cardboard box, draw and cut out a shield and a sword.2. Paint the blade of the sword silver; paint the handle gold. Paint the shield in silver. Let the sword and shield dry completely. 3. Meanwhile, cut two strips of cardboard, about 2 inches wide. One should be as long as the shield's length; the other should be as long as the shield's width. Paint the cardboard strips in silver or gold. 4. When the shield is completely dry, glue the cardboard strips onto the front. They should form a cross shape (a '+' shape). 5. Draw symbols in each of the four areas (the grid formed by the +) of the shield. Draw symbols that stand for an object or interest that is important to the child; pets, hobbies, family, etc. Complete the drawings with markers and or paint. 6. Glue a strip of cardboard or piece of heavy elastic to the back to form a handle. |
