This activity is so much fun for kids. They can use their creativity by taking just a few items in your home, and turning them into a classic Tom Turkey.

What You’ll Need

* Crayons
* Package of Assorted Color Construction Paper
* Paper Bag
* Paper Plate
* Scissors
* Stapler
* Glue
* Garbage Bag Ties

Instructions

For the body of the turkey, take a paper bag and stuff it with paper. Seal it at the top with a bag tie.

For the feathers, take green construction paper and outline a child's hands. Cut the traced hands out of the construction paper. Use glue to attach each paper hand to the paper bag, one cut out hand on each side.

For the face, take white construction paper and have your child draw a turkey face. Use assorted color crayons. Once the face is complete, cut out the face and attach it to the top of the bag where the tie is, using a stapler.

Take a paper plate and using crayons, color it red, green, and brown. Put some glue in the center of the plate. Put the turkey right on the glued part of the plate, and Voila.... a very special Thanksgiving turkey is ready to be displayed.
