Make Your Own Megillah for Purim

When it comes time to read the Megillah, the Book of Esther, this is one fun craft that will help teach your kids what the story means. Your kids will enjoy being a part of such an important part of the Purim celebration and making their own scroll will keep their little hands busy for HOURS!

What You’ll Need

Print outs of Purim coloring pages from http://www.coloring.ws/esther.htm or cut out pages from a Purim coloring book.
A cardboard paper towel roll
markers, paint or crayons
Decorations such as glitter, foam shapes, stickers, glitter glue, plastic jewels, flat beads, mini silk flowers, sequins, shiny paper etc.
Clear Tape
Ribbon

Instructions

1. Have the children color and embellish the pictures you have printed out with the decorations above.

2. Put the pictures in the order of the story.

3. Then lay them out next to each other in a long horizontal line

4. Tape the sides of each page together.

5. Tape the long line of pages to the paper towel roll to form a scroll

6. Roll up the scroll and tie with ribbon!

7. Enjoy the nachas!
