Matzah Brei

Matzah is a brittle flat bread eaten at Passover.

Share this recipe with your children for a fun activity.

What You’ll Need

2 Eggs
2 Cups of Warm Water
2 Tablespoons corn oil
4 Plain Matzah Boards

Directions

1) In a bowl, crush matzah into bite sized pieces.
2) Add the two cups of warm water to the crushed matzah and use your hands to mix until moist.
3) Squeeze as much water out as you can.
4) In a seperate bowl, whisk your two eggs.
5) Add your eggs to the moistened matzah and mix until evenly coated.
6) Pre-heat your corn oil in a large frying pan over medium heat.
7) Pour the Matzah mixture into the pan of cooking oil. Turn the mixture continuously until dry.
8) You can serve your Matzah Brei with Jelly, Butter, Sugar, or Honey.
