Make Mom Breakfast in Bed

It’s Mom’s special day and what better gift to give her. Let her sleep in late and then the kids can deliver her breakfast in bed. Kids like to be helpful so let them do the cooking with your help of course, giving Mom some time off.
Start by planning the menu. Your children will know better than anyone what Mom likes to eat for breakfast. Have the children check to make sure you have all the items needed for that perfect meal.
Once you have your menu planned start the cooking process. Let the kids get the ingredients together for the meal. Younger children can mix together items and older ones can even help you cook.

Now that the meal is finished and ready to serve, your children can decorate the tray. They can place a flower in a vase and maybe even a candle for Mom to light while eating. This is the perfect time for kids to give Mom those special birthday cards they have made for her. Also be sure they put a book or magazine on the tray so Mom can relax with her favorite reading while she eats.

Delivering her breakfast in bed can be a lot of fun too. Surprise Mom and be sure all the children are involved. Mom will be delighted to be awakened by those little giggles and the smell of that good food. Last but not least, be sure to leave Mom to her privacy. Keep the children busy for awhile. She won’t stay in the bedroom too long and the smile on her face when she emerges will be priceless.
