Mother Bunny May I

Finding games to play that are easy for smaller children to enjoy can be hard to do sometimes. This game is a great Easter game for children of all ages to play. If you can get outside that’s the best place but if it is necessary to play indoors then be sure to make room for all the hopping bunnies.

How to Play

Start by picking someone to be the Mother. The oldest child is usually the best person for this job. If you have a teenager let them be the Mother. They will be able to understand the part and keep things moving along.

Place all the children in a circle with the Mother Bunny in the middle. Pick one child to start the game. They must ask the Mother Bunny for permission to do something fun. For instance they may want to get a piece of Easter candy. They must ask the Mother Bunny, “Mother Bunny May I get a piece of Easter candy?” Then the Mother Bunny must say "Yes, you may" or "No, you may not."

If the Mother Bunny says "No, you may not" then it is the next persons turn but if the Mother Bunny says "Yes you may" they must hop to get to the Easter candy and then hop back. If they forget to say "Mother Bunny May I" or they do not hop then they are out of the game.

This game can be a lot of fun for children. They will be laughing and enjoying themselves and before you know it the will be completely worn out from their entire day. Enjoy this game with your children, giggle and act goofy just like they do. You might find that being a kid again is just as much fun as watching them enjoy their day and the game.
