Give your preschool child a head start for school.

Go out for a nature walk then display your finds with this homemade banner!

What You’ll Need

Patterned paper or scrapbooking paper
Double-sided tape
Dried leaves, twigs, flowers and other items collected on your "nature walk"
Glue
Scissors
Paper punch
String or yarn

Instructions

1. Cut the patterned paper or scrapbooking paper into a banner. Make it any size you like as long as it is big enough for your nature items. A good size is 4 x 11 inches. If you don't have patterned paper or scrapbooking paper, construction paper would work too.

2. Cut two pieces of double-sided tape slightly shorter than the banner, around 10 inches long. Remove the backing from one side of the tape strips and attach to the banner, making two vertical lines.

3. Remove the backing from the front side of the tape strips.

4. Attach the nature items you collected to the tape strips.

5. Punch a hole in the top of the banner in the center.

6. Use the string or yarn to hang up your nature display.
