Give your preschool child a head start for school.

Need a quick but cute Halloween costume? This one's super easy and requires materials you probably have at home.

What You’ll Need

Black trash bag
Scissors
Colored paper
Black or green belt
Broomstick
Witch's hat - store bought

Optional: glitter glue; glow-in-the dark paint

Instructions

1. Turn the trash bag upside down and measure on your child's body. The closed end should be on the child's shoulders. If needed, cut the open end to the desired length.

2. Cut out a neck hole for the child's head in the middle of the closed end.

3. Make little length-wise cuts along the hemline to create fringes.

4. Cut various Halloween shapes out of the construction paper. Moons and stars are the easiest to cut out. Also try broomsticks, Jack-o-Lanterns, ghost shapes, etc.

5. Decorate the witch's dress with the Halloween shapes. Option: Use glitter glue or glow-in-the-dark paint to add space dust and other designs all over the dress.

6. Put the witch's dress on the child and cinch with a belt.

7. Add a broomstick and store-bought witch's hat to complete the look.
