Paper Plate Flower with Handprints

What You’ll Need

paper plate
construction paper in 3 colors
pencil
scissors
glue

Instructions

1. Trace the child's hand print on construction paper in 3 different colors. These will become the flower's petals. Cut out the hand prints. Alternatively, make petals by cutting petal shapes from the construction paper.

2. Glue hand prints of the same color around the paper plate, beginning with the outer edges. Glue another row of hand prints of another color, overlapping slightly with the first row of hand prints. Glue the third row of hand prints of a different color going nearer into the center of the paper plate.

3. Cut a circle from another piece of construction paper. Glue to the very center of the paper plate.

Now you have handprint flowers! Attach a string and stem and display in a window. If you have more then one child, use multiple children's handprints in the craft.
