Paper Plate Flower

This activity makes big paper flowers perfect for displaying on the wall!

What You’ll Need

Paper plates - two per flower
Markers, crayons or paints
Plastic straw (green if you have it but any color will do)
Stapler

Instructions

1. With markers, crayons or paints, decorate one plate to make it look like a flower. Or cut pictures of flowers from old magazines and glue onto the paper plate, making it look like a bouquet. Another option is to cut petals out of colored paper and glue them around the paper plate.

2. Staple the plastic straw onto the flower to make a stem.

3. Cut another paper plate into four equal parts. Now you have leaves.

4. Color the leaves green. Alternatively, cut leaves out of green construction paper.

5. Staple at least two leaves onto the straw.
