> Halloween Activities Paper Plate Pumpkin MaskWhen your little one wants to get in on the Halloween fun, but is too young yet for a 'real' Halloween mask, this is just the ticket. It's easy enough that your pre-schooler can help make it, and it's not attached to their head so they can safely join the older kids. And won't the neighbors smile when they see your little 'Pumpkin' at their door! What You’ll Needpaper platescissors or craft knife orange and black paint paintbrush popsicle stick tape green construction paper scissors Instructions1. Paint the paper plate orange and let dry completely. If you don't have a paper plate, you can use a piece of cardboard or cereal box and cut it into a circle.2. Cut out eyes from the paper plate in triangle shapes. Paint a black outline around the eye triangles if you want a jack-o-lantern look.(You might want to try getting the position for the eyes right first on a plain piece of paper.) Paint a black triangle nose and mouth, to make the paper plate look like a jack-o-lantern. 3. Tape a popsicle stick to the back of the paper plate, at the bottom center to make a handle for the mask. 4. For the stem and leaves on top, trace the child's hands on green construction paper. Cut out and glue to the top of the pumpkin. Or, make the child's hand prints with green paint and cut out. Or, simply draw and cut out a pumpkin stem and leaves from green construction paper. |
