If your local craft store doesn’t sell them or you can’t find what your child is looking for go online. You can find kits to make jewelry, magnets, window decorations, notepads and even napkin holders. The kits will come with everything you need including the instructions. The only thing you have to provide is an iron and a ready and willing child.

Once your child has found the right kit be sure to go over the instructions well. Children can become quite agitated if they can’t get their project to turn out correctly. Help them and it might be wise to buy a couple of kits just in case. If your child is new to perler beading a couple of kits is recommended. This way they have a chance to get the hang of it before they make the gift.
