> Easter Day Activities Peter Cotton Tail RelayThere are numerous games that you can play with your children on Easter to keep them happy and satisfied. One such game is called Peter Cotton Tail Relay. This game can be played outside if the weather permits or inside if necessary. Here’s how it’s played both ways. How to PlayTo play this game outdoors you will need to divide your children up into 2 teams. Each team will need 2 bowls and enough cotton balls for each player. They will also need a teaspoon. Line the children up on one side of the yard with one bowl full of the cotton balls. Take the empty bowl to the other side of the yard. If you have smaller children you may want to put the empty bowl a little closer so they don’t have to far to go.The first player on the team is given the teaspoon. They must get a cotton ball into the spoon without using their hands and carry it across the yard to be deposited into the empty bowl. If they drop the cotton ball they must pick it up again without using their hands and continue on to the empty bowl. Once the cotton ball is in the bowl they must run back to their teammates and hand the spoon to next person in line. Play continues until one team has successfully transferred all their cotton balls to the empty bowl. To play this game inside you will need a room that is clear of any obstacles that may injure your children should they become a little rambunctious. Instead of a teaspoon, give each child a straw. The object is to blow the cotton ball to the other side of the room and across the line. The first team to successfully get all their cotton balls across the line wins the game. |
