Plastic Bottle Door Stopper

Here's another practical way to reuse plastic bottles!

What You’ll Need

old plastic bottle
small stones, pebbles or sand
masking tape
paints and paintbrushes
markers
other decorative materials

Instructions

1. Wash and dry the plastic bottle. Remove any paper labels.

2. Pour small stones, pebbles or sand inside the plastic bottle to make it heavy. Put the bottle cap back on. Be sure to add enough so the bottle is heavy enough to hold the door!

3. If desired, decorate the bottle. If you want to paint it, cover the entire bottle first with masking tape so that the paint will adhere. Decorate however your imagination inspires you!

Another way to get paint to stick to the bottle is to lightly sand it. This is so the surface gets rough and will then allow things to stick! You can also cover the bottle with fabric to make it a piece of your decor. If you want the door stopper to stand out decorate it in a fun manner such as a cow, pig, or a bunch of flowers.
