> Halloween Activities Princess CostumeIf you have a daughter, chances are there will be at least one Halloween that your little one will want to dress up like a Princess. Purchasing a ready-made Princess costume can be somewhat expensive, and not very imaginative. This is a quick, and versatile, outfit that any Princess would love. What You’ll NeedWhite turtleneck and pants or tightsShiny bright color fabric Another complimentary shiny fabric belt glitter (optional) headband white pipe cleaner or wire jewels or beads or glitter for tierra (optional) fake fur for a cape (optional) InstructionsAfter child has dressed in white shirt and pants, begin "building" her gown. The simplest way is to fold the first fabric in half, with short ends meeting. At the half way point, cut a hole for the child's head to slip through. If fabric isn't sparkly enough, spray with glitter glue if desired. Pull fabric up to form puffy top and still be long enough to reach the ankles. Now, secure with belt around waist. You have the basic gown. Take second length of fabric and tie lengthwise around waist to form a puffy over-skirt. Play with the folds and fluff up. Your princess may want a tierra. You can form one by taking a headband and tying pipe cleaners around it to form a peak. Glue glitter, sequins, or gems on for the jewels. If your little princess desires a cape of fur, fuzzy fabric can be cut in a triangle shape and draped around the shoulders and tied in place with a ribbon. |
