Give your preschool child a head start for school.

Ok, I know as parents, many of us think the Punk Rocker idea is totally out there. Our children think it is the best thing since the Beatles. All the crazy colors, styles and images make our children crave that as a costume for Halloween. It’s pretty easy to do so go ahead and let them be Kiss in the making. Here’s how to do it still keeping it simple and creative too.

What You’ll Need

* White long sleeve shirt
* Holey jeans
* Boots
* Chain type belt
* Black wristbands or spiked wristband and choker
* Eye shadow
* Eyeliner
* Mascara
* Eyebrow pencil
* Lipstick
* Blush
* Wig or hair gel and washout color hair spray
* Hoop earring
* Black gloves
* Studs
* Guitar with strap

Instructions

A Punk Rocker is hair and make-up period. Of course they have to wear clothes so make it as crazy as possible. Paint up a white long sleeve shirt as far out as you can get. The brighter the better. Jeans with holes in them work well also. They will need boots, an outlandish belt and black wristbands. If you really want to be creative give them spiked wristbands and a choker.

As for the make-up the more outlandish the better. Just plaster it on. Use eye shadow, black eye liner, mascara, eyebrow pencil, lipstick and blush. The colors are pretty basic too. Anything black, dark purple and red will do the trick.

Doing their hair can actually be a lot of fun. You can purchase a cheap wig of just about any color and re-color some of the ends with different colored hair spray. The other way is to take hair gel and spike your child’s hair. The crazier the spikes the better. Then take different colors of washout hair spray and spray the spikes.

Finally for the accessories that finish the costume. A large black belt or chain belt will work well. Large colorful earrings especially hoop earrings and the bigger the better. Black gloves with sparkling studs are also a big thing. Last but not least don’t forget that guitar. A cheap plastic guitar with a strap will set your Punk Rocker costume off.

So go ahead and be a cool parent and let your child dress as that Punk Rocker. It will be fun for you to create and your child will have a blast being a big rock star for one night.
