Rainbow Mobiles for St. Patrick's DayIf you’re looking for some easy St. Patrick’s Day party decorations that the kids can make here’s one that will set off the party. It’s pretty easy for the kids to do and will be a hit of the party as far as the decorations go. What You’ll Need* White paper plate* Scissors * String * Hole punch * Markers * Bucket and shamrock templates * Green, yellow and black construction paper * Glue InstructionsStart with a paper plate. Cut the plate in half. Using one half of the paper plate, cut down to a rainbow shape. Have the kids color it with the markers to look like a rainbow. Make sure they use all the colors of the rainbow to make it bright. When the marker has dried, punch one hole in the top of the rainbow and two holes in the bottom of the rainbow. Be sure the bottom holes are centered to hang the shamrock and pot o’ gold from. Use the green construction paper and the shamrock template for the kids to make a shamrock to hang from their mobile. Have them trace around the template and then use the scissors to cut their shamrock out. To make the pot o’ gold use the black construction paper and the bucket template. Again trace around the template and cut out the bucket. Have the kids cut a few circles out of the yellow construction paper to resemble the coins in the pot. Glue the coins to the pot. Punch a hole in the top of the shamrock and the pot o’ gold. Attach them with string through the holes in the bottom of the rainbow. Attach another string to the top of the rainbow to hang it. Now you have a rainbow mobile to for your child’s St. Patrick’s Day party decorations and best of all they made it themselves. |
