A really fun thing to do as a family on St. Patrick’s Day is watch a Leprechaun movie or two. Kids love it and it’s a great way to spend time together. There are many movies available to watch. Check with your local video store or try one of these.

“The Quiet Man” featuring John Wayne is a classic movie. The kids as well as you will watch this movie and love every minute of it. It was first shown on screen back in 1952 and has a cast of characters like no other. It was mostly filed in Ireland and shows views of Ireland that many people will never see in real life. It’s a gem of a movie for one and all.

“Leapin’ Leprechaun is another good movie. Created in 1995 this movie tells the story of a man trying to build a theme park. This is a great family movie for one and all.

Another great older movie from 1948 is “The Luck of the Irish.” It is one of the first movies made about Leprechauns. One hint though if you have small children or don’t like Sci-fi movies you may decide against this one. It’s a great movie for the right audience.

There are many movies not only about Leprechauns but about Ireland and all its history. No matter which one you pick making this a family tradition can bring everyone together for a great evening and a fun celebration. Don’t forget that popcorn and tint it green for a little extra fun.
