> Christmas Activities Saint Nicholas Day - December 6thI am the fifth generation to carry on my father's family's special holiday tradition.
We celebrate Saint Nicholas Day every year on December 6th. The night before everyone puts his or her shoes outside in front of the house. In the morning we wake up to find what goodies Saint Nicholas has left for us with our shoes. When I was 8 years old, Saint Nicolas left me a small statue of Saint Francis because of my love of animals. My oldest daughter is 8 this Saint Nicholas Day and she will find that same statue this year with her shoes. I am proud to honor this tradition of my family's and to be passing it on to my children. |
