Share Your Own Story of Love

On Valentine's Day, share with your children how you and your spouse fell in love. It will help you and your kids appreciate how your family started out. Your kids will enjoy your story.

First, tell them how the two of you met. Tell your kids what about your spouse that first got your attention. Share with them the first things you said to each other.

Next, talk about your first date. Tell your kids where you went, what you did, what sweet things were said. Tell them all the goofy, lovey-dovey details.

Then, you can talk about how your spouse asked you to marry them. How long were you together before your spouse proposed. What did they say? What did you say? Did you cry? Did they cry?

Finally, tell them about how happy you are that your love gave you them. Tell them how important they are to you. Explain to your children exactly how much you love them and how much they mean to you.

This is an important story and your children will enjoy learning of how your love began. It will also mean a lot to them to know that your love for each other made them. It will also make your kids feel good to know just how very much you love them.
