Kids love to decorate. When it comes to Valentine's Day it can be rather hard to find ways of decorating that don’t include paper hearts or Cupid with an arrow. This idea helps bring the color of Valentine's Day into your home, but without adding another heart or Cupid.

What You’ll Need

* Red ribbon
* Pink ribbon
* White ribbon
* Scissors
* Thumbtacks
* Scotch tape

Instructions

Give the kids the ribbon and let them go to town. They can tie it around lamps and vases. Hang it from the ceiling or ceiling fans. They can make loops around doorknobs and tie it to cabinet doors. Even the refrigerator can be decorated with ribbon.

They can twist it together and make long chains to hang from door frames. Ribbon can make some nice forms to be taped or thumb tacked to a wall.

Use a pair of scissors to curl the ribbon. This will make pretty designs when tied around objects in your home.

Ribbon can be used just about anywhere in a home. Putting it to good use as a Valentine decoration is one way to get every mile out of that ribbon. Giving children the ribbon to decorate is a promise that every inch will be used.
