Sports Easter BasketSometimes it can be a difficult coming up with ideas for your child’s Easter basket. If your son is a little older and the stuffed bunnies don’t excite him anymore try this idea and see if it doesn’t put a smile on his face Easter morning.
Many stores sell those great plastic take apart football, basketball, baseball or even soccer Easter baskets. Find one that fits your child’s favorite sport. Instead of filling it with the Easter grass use green and brown construction paper that you have shredded. This will look like a sports field of grass and dirt. There are many types of things you can place in this Easter basket. Sports cards are a big thing for young boys. They like to look at them and even trade them to their friends. Buy them some packets of sports card and a photo album to place them in. Better yet find that one special card he has been looking for and place it in a picture frame in the basket. You can also buy things that go with that favorite sport. From shoes, to clothing to even that extra equipment they may not have or have about worn out. These types of things work well and will put a smile on your son's face when he sees it on Easter morning. Don’t forget the candy. Many candy manufactures make candies that represent sports balls. Some even make candy that represents race cars or even a special player. This would be great in any boys Easter basket. Don’t forget the Easter bunny though. Every child no matter what the age won’t be happy without that large chocolate bunny in their basket. |
