Stained Glass Window

Love those stained glass windows in old churches and buildings? You can recreate the same look using ordinary household items.

What You’ll Need

Plastic sheet (you can cut this out of a resealable bag)
Markers
Scissors
Paper plate
Tape
Pencil or paper puncher
String

Instructions

1. Cut a plastic sheet to fit in the center of the paper plate.

2. Draw a design on the plastic sheet. Look at pictures of stained glass windows for inspiration, or just draw abstract shapes.

3. Color the shapes with the markers. Draw thick black lines between the shapes with a black marker.

4. Cut out the center of the paper plate so that the hole is smaller than the plastic sheet.

5. Attach the plastic sheet to back of the paper plate, taping it into place. The design should fit through the hole of the paper plate.

6. Punch a hole at the top of the paper plate.

7. Tie a string through the hole and hang on your window to make your very own stained glass window!
