> Birthday Theme Activities Take Dad Back to His Childhood on His BirthdayIs your child having a hard time finding the perfect gift for Dad’s birthday? Why not let them take Dad back to his childhood for a day. Here are a few tips to help your child in accomplishing the perfect gift.
Your child should first start by looking at Dad’s old yearbooks. There are many things that people write in a yearbook that can give some insight into what Dad’s life was like when he was child. Also have them find some pictures of his childhood friends. They can contact some of these people to see if they can help in brining back the good old days His friends can stop by and tell some stories or write a small letter including some of the things they remember about Dad. Have your children talk to their grandparents. By doing this they can find out some of the activities Dad did as a child, what their favorite foods were and kinds of music and fun Dad liked to have. Your child can incorporate all of this into Dad’s day by making his favorite foods, playing his music and doing activities that Dad enjoyed as a child. Be sure they find out what kind of clothes Dad wore. Styles change fast so kids may not have a clue as to the style back in Dad’s day. Once they find out this important information let them shop at yard sales or thrift stores to find the right outfit for Dad to wear on his special trip down memory lane. Last but not least let your child take Dad down memory lane. It will be fun for your child to learn what it was like back then and Dad will enjoy all the memories of his childhood brought back to him by his own child. |
