Tin Can Stilts

What You’ll Need

2 Large Cans
A Can Opener to poke holes in the middle of the can
String
Paint
Scissors

How to make your Tin Can Stilts:

1) Wash your cans out.

2) Punch two holes on the opposite side of the closed end of the can. (adult can do this part, of course)

3) Cut two pieces of string (One for each stilt) and make sure it is long enough to come up to your waist.

4) Pull one piece of string through the holes of the can

5) Do the same thing with the other can.

6) Decorate the cans so that your new stilts are in style!

7) Now your stilts are ready

8) Hold the ends of the strings and walk.

9) Ask an adult to stand by you until you get the hang of walking in your stilts!
