Girls can create beautiful pieces of art with their hands. One way of doing this is by cross-stitching. It’s a pretty simple craft and your daughter can end up with some great pieces she can frame to hang up in her own room or give to her loved ones as gifts.

Instructions

There are many different types of cross stitch patterns available. Let your daughter pick out a simple one to begin with. This will keep her from becoming frustrated with the project. You can find kits that include all the necessary items also. These can be found in the craft section of your local department store. Just be sure to start with the beginner’s kit. These kits will come with easy to understand instructions for your daughters first go around.

You may find that if you help in the beginning this craft will be simpler for your daughter. Read the instructions and talk her through it. Most children learn better by actually doing the job while you explain and help them along. If this is not the case you might be better off to show your child how to start off to make it easier for them.

Once you have the finished product let you daughter pick out a frame that will set her cross stitch off. There are many types of frames available and you can find them at the local dollar store pretty easy. The cross stitch can be hung on the wall or set on a table whichever she would prefer.

With all the different patterns available you daughter could be doing cross stitch for years to come. It’s a hobby for many and has grown threefold over the years. Give your daughter a craft that she can be proud of and can show off to everyone.
