Unique Homemade Giftwrapper

Make a one-of-a-kind giftwrapper that's as special as the gift inside!

What You’ll Need

flat objects around the house
colored paper
scanner
colored printer
computer
multipurpose paper

Instructions

1. Gather flat objects that you find around the house. These could be ribbons, stickers, coins, rubber bands, leaves, flat toys, etc. Make sure the objects are smooth and will not scratch the surface of your scanner bed.

2. Arrange the objects on the scanner bed. Place colored paper on top of the objects to provide a background.

3. Scan the objects. Print the resulting image on several sheets of paper. Use as gift wrapping paper!

Gift wrap like this is easily personalized for whoever you want to give a gift to. Use various craft or sewing items for a seamstress or quilter, use ribbons and stickers for a scrapbook friend, use flat toys and money for kids. The ideas here are endless!

You could also use an object that is flat on one side so it can be put on the scanner bed, you may have to use more than one piece of paper if you do it this way to tent over the objects so there is a background. Experiment with the paper to get the effect you would like.
