> Valentine's Day Activities Valentine's Day Dress UpValentine’s Day always means a party for the kids. It’s one way to show them how much you love them and what they mean to you. Making sure you have all the proper items needed for a great party includes dressing your party goers correctly. No not their clothes. The accompanying items are what are important in this type of party. What You'll Need* Pink & Red Construction Paper* Scissors * Black Felt Tip Marker * Stickers * Glitter Glue * Candy Necklaces * Candy Whistles * Scotch Tape or Small Safety Pins (depending on the children's ages) Be sure that every child has a name tag. Even though they may know each other this well help them to stand out and feel important among the crowd. If you have other parents helping at the party they may not know all the children’s names.
Use pink construction paper for the girls. Make the girls name tags in the shape of a heart. Add a little glitter glue and maybe even a sticker or two. Place their names right in the middle of the heart with a black felt tip marker. For the boys, cut out arrows from red construction paper. Be sure to cut one end to look like the feathers on the arrow. Place some stickers of boy type things all over the arrow. Use the black tip marker to place their name on their badge. Use scotch tape or small safety pins to attach the name tags to their shirts. Little girls love jewelry. Adorn each little girl’s neck with a candy necklace. They will love the idea. When the party is over they will have some candy to nibble on the way home. Little boys love those candy whistles they can wear around their necks. Of course you may want to remind them that blowing the whistles at the party might not be such a good idea. When the party is over it will be the sweetest whistler they have ever had. Making sure all the children are given something special at the party is easy to do. Kids don’t need much but they do like to be recognized and made to feel special. This is one way you can show them that their love matters to you. |
