Make Valentine’s Day Lollipops

Chocolate lollipops are so much fun to make. Kids have a blast making these and it’s pretty simple for them to do. They can decorate them if they like to give their lollipops that special touch for Valentine’s Day. Here is what you need to make these wonderful treats.

What You’ll Need

* 1 lb unsweetened chocolate
* 1 lb white chocolate
* Different flavorings such as vanilla, orange, peppermint
* Red and pink decorating gel
* Popsicle sticks
* Heart shaped cookie cutters
* Plastic Baggies
* Wax paper
* Plastic wrap
* Red and pink ribbon

Directions

Melt the chocolate as directed on the package. Be sure the chocolate is smooth. Divide the chocolate into separate bowls to add the flavorings. Be sure to mix the flavorings in the chocolate well.

Pour the chocolate into sandwich bags and seal shut. Place wax paper on a flat surface. Put the cookie cutters on the wax paper and place a Popsicle stick under the cookie cutter to the center of the cutter.

Cut a small slit in the corner of the baggie. Pipe the chocolate into the cookie cutter.

Once all the lollipops are made place them in the freezer overnight to set. Remove the lollipops from the freezer and remove the cookie cutters.

Decorate the lollipops with the gel. Write different sayings on each one or just decorate them by outlining the heart with the gel. Cover the lollipop with plastic wrap and tie it off with the ribbon around the stick.
