> Christmas Activities Watching Christmas MoviesOne way for the whole family to be together on Christmas Eve is to start a family tradition that is followed year after year. Watching a Christmas movie can be that type of tradition. After all the fun of the day and evening sitting back and taking in a good movie is just the ticket to calm everyone down for the night.
If you have small children they may not be able to make it through a whole 2 hour movie so start their night out with one that doesn’t last too long. Many video stores carry movies that have been adapted from TV. Movies such as Rudolph, Frosty and the Grinch can be found and without the commercials they are usually about half hour to 45 minutes long. This may be just enough time for your little ones to drift off to sleep. Children who are a little older may enjoy movies that are bit longer. Movies such as Home Alone, A Flintstones Christmas and Miracle on 34th Street fit well with this age group. They are pretty good movies that everyone will enjoy and have a great time watching. There are many wonderful Christmas movies out. Maybe you need a little comedy on this night. Try movies such as Christmas with the Kranks, Elf or Santa Clause. You will all be rolling with laughter and be thankful for the simple Christmas you have each year. If nostalgia is what you’re looking for there are many movies that will lighten your children’s heart and teach them about Christmas. Try watching A Christmas Carol, It’s a Wonderful Life, or even White Christmas. These types of movies will help remind you of the most important things about the holidays. Don’t forget to have the hot chocolate and cookies ready for the big show. With movies like these, treats that even Santa would like, and each other how can we ask for anything more? |
